Being pregnant is a special time in our lives and we would want to look our best while not shortchanging on being comfortable. As different moms would experience their pregnancy differently, it is important to know what styles would work for us and what would not.
Here are some tips to get started!
Stick to your usual style and your favourite outfits but repurchase them in a maternity version. It will be more comfortable than attempting to wear something that you are not used to.

Possibly your MVP (most valuable product)! A-line or empire waist styles can accommodate your growing belly. Stretchy or short dresses can also be repurposed as tops as the belly expands.
If the office has a strict dresscode, no worries! Have 2 or 3 essential bottoms with adjustable elastic bands that can be matched with a formal top and worn with a coat.

A non-wired larger sized bra would be more comfortable in the first trimester. Subsequently, you may want to invest in a well-designed nursing bra for greater support and extension.
As our body temperature can increase above the usual level, choose light and breathable fabrics with natural fibers like cotton. Not to mention, synthetic fibers can irritate a stretching skin, causing it to itch.
Flats and slip-on footwear will be your best buy in the coming months. Not only for comfort but also for your safety.
No need for a wardrobe makeover. Choose pieces that are versatile so that you can dress down from formal to casual. Start with neutral colours for bottoms that can easily be matched with coloured or patterned tops .
Try to buy your maternity wear as you advance in your pregnancy so that it is a better fit. Even better if the outfit can be modified as a nursing outfit .
